Benefits of the PrenaTest®  in your everyday practice

Determination of the cffDNA level after sample receipt, usually in 4-6 business days to the result, employable in the case of donor eggs

In addition to its high level of reliability based on the rMPS method, the PrenaTest® provides additional significant benefits to you, as the treating physician, and to your patient:

You find out quickly whether a blood sample is able to be analyzed

We notify you within 24 hours following receipt of the sample if the level of cell-free fetal DNA (cffDNA) in the maternal blood is too low for successful analysis. Successful analysis requires a cffDNA level of at least 4% in the maternal DNA mixture (and a minimum of 8% in the case of twin pregnancies). This is reliably measured using out proprietary QuantYfeX® assay.

Short waiting time for your patients – Test results usually in 4 to 6 business days

The PrenaTest®, which is developed and performed exclusively within Germany, also scores high with its test result delivery times. You can receive the results in usually 4 to 6 business days.

Generally employable following assisted reproduction – even in case of donor eggs

The use of the rMPS method enables patients, who have become pregnant with a donor egg or other fertility treatment, to be tested with no restrictions. It is not necessary to know the precise fertility treatment in order to use the PrenaTest®.

Already covered by many health insurance funds in individual cases

More than 50 private and statutory health funds already cover the costs of the PrenaTest® in many individual situations. The Federal Joint Committee (G-BA) is expected to include the PrenaTest® for the determination of trisomy 21 as a standard benefit of the statutory health insurance funds on a “trial basis” under the terms of § 137e (7) of the German Social Code [SGB V]. In order to qualify, the PrenaTest® must be performed with the corresponding CE-mark-certified software.
